9-pin to 9-pin IEEE 1394b is arriving now, loaded with bandwidth, speed, and extended signaling distance (up to 100 meters!).

Our new cables let you connect to the newest IEEE1394b devices while still maintaining backward compatibility with older firewire connectors. IEEE 1394b allows extensions to 800Mbit/sec., 1.6Gbit/sec. and 3.2Gbit/sec., all over copper wire and it supports long-distance transfers up to 100 meters over a variety of media.
